Fleet Management Application

The basis of the SkyTrackers system is a specialized piece of equipment which is affixed to a mobile asset, usually in an invisible place. This unit has two basic functions:

It sends and receives data to/from a satellite working as a Global Positioning System (GPS), to determine the X and Y coordinates of the asset's location. The frequency of the XY-location updates is set per the customer requirements (currently one of three options).

It sends and receives data across Centennial's wireless data network to/from the customer's monitoring and command application (which would typically be on the web and is managed by the customer's authorized personnel, with a specific user-ID and password assigned). The data sent to the customer application includes information on localization as well as special status events.

While the location updates received from the various vehicles are presented on a visual screen map of Puerto Rico, the customer can zoom in on any individual vehicle and monitor its location with precision far greater than alternate services based on triangulation.

Data on vehicles' locations or status events recorded by one or multiple sensors installed in the vehicles (such as temperature, speed etc.), may also be:

Presented on a dash-board (in report format)

Recorded as historical data in an electronic file and saved for a maximum six-month period.
