How Does It Work?
So-called Responsible Organizations(Resp Org’s), as authorized by the customer, play an important role in the provision of Toll-Free Services. The Resp Org, typically the service provider, manages the process surrounding the number administration, receives toll-free traffic originated on other providers’ network and ensures termination of traffic to the proper destination.
Calls to toll-free numbers may be translated to a regular telephone number or to switch and trunk groups, for termination over dedicated access facilities to large contact centers. |
